To ensure quality education the staff to student ratio is 1:10. Each class has a maximum of 20 students; therefore, each child receives maximum individual attention.

The school's primary aim is to motivate the children to strive for academic excellence. In order to promote this, the school has an excellent library with a large number of books on different subjects along with invaluable reference books that can be consulted by the students English is the medium of instruction. Hindi is compulsory and all efforts are made to ensure that the girls are proficient in both the languages.

Within the first three years of its opening the school has successfully been able to get admission for its girls in schools like Mayo, MIS, Hopetown and Welham Girls' School. We already have a batch of 25 girls in Welham Girls' School within the first three years.

Doon Girls is fortunate in its unique management partnership between a professional educational society and a hotel group. Consequently, the housekeeping, hygiene and kitchen are managed by professionals in their respective fields, leaving the professional educationist free to concentrate on the academic, cultural sporting and character development of a child.

The school has a well-equiped infirmary resident nursing sister and well qualified and experienced. Most medical needs are handled in the school but for special needs they are taken to the specialists.

It is pure fun to be in the dorms - the friends, escapades, the camaraderie, friction and fun of living with one's classmates.

Doon Girls is a small school where everyone knows everyone.

The atmosphere is friendly easy-going and loving The unique background of each child is valued. We have dorms according to the 'Houses'-Koel, Cuckoo and Myna, to built the sense of responsibility for juniors and respect for seniors.

The dorms are under the care of the housmistress and a matron. Though, different from home the residential staff employs the best of family practices-care, support and discipline, to create a family atmosphere.

The hub of the dorms is a uniquely designed, very colourful recreation room, which is a favourite with all the girls.

The School is restricted to 200 students with only 20 children per class. The staff is selected for their competence and compassion, with a sizable proportion living on the campus. The students are divided into Houses, each with its own Housemistress, Tutors, Housekeeper and domestic help. This makes the close and personal supervision of each child possible.

We also keep a close check on the emotional stability of the child and the problems associated with growing up, with the help of our child counselor.
